Virginia H. Graves, born on October 9, 1939, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, peacefully departed this life on July 15, 2026, at the Reading Hospital, at the age of 86. Known to many as Ginny. She was a dedicated registered nurse who attended Abington Memorial and spent over 30 years as Director of Nursing at Montgomery County Emergency Service. Ginny devoted her life to the healthcare profession, acting as a valued mentor to many and providing compassionate care to countless individuals throughout her career.
Ginny found immense joy in life’s simple pleasures, particularly crocheting, and cherished her time at the beach in Long Beach Island. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, as she was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she participated in the Quilting Club.
Ginny was the beloved wife of Richard M. Graves for 45 years, who preceded her in death on October 15, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Kantner, wife of Theodore “Ted” Kantner of Lancaster; her son, Richard “Rick” Graves, fiancé of Jennifer Hecht, of Douglassville; and her cherished grandchildren, Theodore “Garrett” Kantner and Grace Jian Kantner.
Virginia H. Graves leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering support to those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
