Vivian Faust

Vivian Dawn Phillips Faust peacefully passed away on October 15, 2025 at the age of 96. She was born December 13, 1928 in the Homeopathic Hospital in Reading, PA to the late Mildred Myers Phillips and Raymond A. Phillips. She was the stepdaughter of Frank Santilli. Vivian was the beloved wife and best friend of Richard C. Faust. They were married August 29, 1948 and enjoyed 77 years of marriage.

She is survived by sons Richard J., husband of Jacqueline, Randall S., husband of Brenda, and daughter Cindy F., wife of Thomas A. Shay. Vivian has four grandchildren, five step grandchildren, one great grandchild, seven step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.

Vivian was preceded in death by her brother Bernard Phillips.

She graduated from Shillington High School in 1946 and served on the class reunion committee for 74 years.

Many years were spent serving as president of The Concerned Citizens of Western Berks County culminating in the closing of a local landfill that was placed on the Superfund Program list. She was a member of the West Lawn Sr. Gouglersville Grange and the Met Ed Retirees Association. Vivian enjoyed making people laugh, gardening, canning, sewing and traveling. Her first love was her family.

Vivian lived in Berks County until 2016 when they moved to the Freedom Village retirement community in Chester County.

Friends and family are welcome to join the family in a Celebration of Life service at Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Monday, October 27, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Amy S. Landis, Celebrant, will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
