William Diem Jr
June 21, 1934 — January 10, 2010
William D. Diem Jr., 75 of Reading, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Manor Care Laureldale, where he had been a patient since December 31st.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William D. Diem Sr., and May M. (Mest) Schaeffer.
He was a 1954 graduate of Reading High School, and served in the United States Army during peacetime.
He worked as a Stereotyper and Engraver for the Reading Eagle Co. for 40 years, retiring in 2002, and was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church in Reading.
He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies Fan.
In addition to his parents, he was pre deceased by a sister: Shirley Diem.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605.
