William S. Duell Jr.

William S. Duell Jr., 80, of Exeter Township, passed away on November 7, 2025, at The Reading Hospital, with his loving family by his side. William was the loving husband to Linda L. (Mengel) for over 45 years of marriage. Born in Savannah, Georgia, William was the son of the late, William S. Duell Sr. and Jean (Gurkin). William served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War and went on to work as a machinist for most of his life, retiring from Rockwell International, Goss Graphics, and Hoffman Industries. William was a Master Mason, Williamson Lodge 307, proud member of the former Oley Valley Lions Club, and a founding member of the Oley Valley Pot Pie Association serving as a Trustee for 28 years.

In addition to his wife Linda, William is survived by his son, Shane D. Strouse, of Birdsboro, daughters, Tamara Jean Duell, and Nicole Mazurkiewicz, wife of Jefferey, of Mt. Penn, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, Eugene Alex Kidd ,NC and sister Patricia Kissinger and her daughter of Myerstown.

Funeral service for William will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 12:30 PM in Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Reading, PA 19606 (Exeter Township). Interment to follow in Spies Zion Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, Exeter Township, on Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
