William Gebhard, Jr.

William F. Gebhard, Jr., 75, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023 at 5:55 pm at Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of Alexa C. (Perles) Gebhard.  Born in Franklin, Pennsylvania, Mr. Gebhard was the son of the late William F. Gebhard, Sr. and Margaret C. (Meehan) Gebhard.  He was a member of the Church of Saint Benedict, Mohnton and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era.  Mr. Gebhard was a Pennsylvania State Park Ranger Officer at French Creek State Park for 31 years.  He was a member of Trout Unlimited, was an avid Fly Fisherman and a licensed Fly Fishing Guide.  In addition to his wife, Mr. Gebhard is survived by his children Shane W. Gebhard, husband of Meghan E. Gebhard of Newark, Delaware, and Courtney A. Dickinson, wife of Kieran C. Dickinson of Charlottesville, Virginia; and his grandchildren Daniel, Maximilian, Constance, Catherine, and Louis.  He is also survived by his sisters Susan Thomas and Amy Jacobs both of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Benedict 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 am.  Reverend Thomas P. Bortz and Reverend Monsignor Edward R. Domin, Celebrants.  Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United States Air Force Honor Guard will follow at Caernarvon Cemetery, Morgantown.  The family will receive relatives and friends at the Church of Saint Benedict Saturday from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.  Floral Arrangements will be appreciated or contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or support.woundedwarriorproject.org  in memory of Mr. William F.
