William Scharadin

William R. Scharadin, 70, Wyomissing, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, in his residence. He was the husband of Antoinette F. (Malinowski) Scharadin, who passed away on March 15, 1977.

Born in Fountain Springs, on Feb. 4, 1940, he was a son of the late William L. and Helen L. (Wertley) Scharadin.

William was a 1958 graduate of Frackville High School, a 1959 graduate of Mercers-burg Academy, and a 1963 graduate of Lafayette College with a B.S. in electrical engineering. He was employed for 30 years as an electrical engineer by Metropolitan Edison Company, retiring in 1994.

He was an avid golfer and a member of Schuykill County Country Club. He enjoyed traveling with his companion, Linda Marcincin.

Survivors include his son, William S., husband of Denise M. (Morgan) Scharadin, Shillington; three step grandchildren: Nicole, Regan and Amber; four step great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Gracie, Chloe and Taeva; and brother, Robert W., husband of Sally L. (Miller) Scharadin, Carlisle.
