Yvonne M. Kapelski

Yvonne M. Kapelski, 84, of Maidencreek Township, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 in Reading Hospital.  She was the wife of Eugene F. Kapelski.  Born in Reading, Mrs. Kapelski was the daughter of the late Luther M. and Susan S. (Brown) Sweitzer.  She was an operator at AT&T for 25 years until her retirement.   In addition to her husband Mrs. Kapelski is survived by her children Susan A. Yost wife of Gregory L. Yost of Hamburg; Denise H. Hebhardt companion of Shawn Levan of Fleetwood; Stacey M. Younker wife of Rodney A. Younker of Leesport; her 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.   She is also survived by her sister Ruth Degler of Topton and her brother Jacob Sweitzer of Lower Alsace Township.   Mrs. Kapelski was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Burkholder, September 7, 2011 and by her 8 siblings. 

Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 7:00 pm.  Amy S. Landis, Celebrant will officiate.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Interment will be held privately by the family at a later date.    In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association PO Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692 or the Animal Rescue League of Berks County 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 in memory of Mrs. Yvonne M.
