Anthony B. Rearden, III, 70, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at 12:02 pm at Manor Care Health Services, West Reading.  He was the husband of Ann T. (Bakanowski) Rearden.  Born in Reading, Anthony was the son of the late Anthony Bernard Rearden, II and Ethel Agnes (Maurer) Rearden.  He was a 1969 graduate of Central Catholic High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Kutztown University in 1972.  Anthony received his Juris Doctorate degree from Gonzaga Law School in 1976.  He practiced law from 1976 until his retirement in 2016.  Anthony was a life member of Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church where he served as Eucharistic Minister.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Jennifer A. Nadol, wife of the late Joseph Nadol of Ossining, New York; Caitlin A. Johnson of Reading; Noreen M. Rich, wife of Benjamin C. Rich of Reading and his grandchildren Joseph B. Nadol, Samuel E. Nadol, Jacob A. Nadol, Carrigan G. Johnson, Juliette H. Johnson, Jesse A. Johnson, Saoirse M. Johnson, Ethan G. Rich, Brynn A. Rich, Declan J. Rich.  Anthony is also survived by his siblings James F. Rearden, husband of Tara Rearden of Alsace Township; Cynthia Kelsey, wife of Gary Kelsey of Hamburg; Colleen Sherman, wife of Guy “Guff” Sherman of Soldotna, Alaska; Kathleen Childers, wife of David Childers of Soldotna, Alaska; Ann L. Zmroczek, wife of Steve Zmroczek of Leesport; Patrick Rearden, husband of Kathy Rearden of Lower Alsace Township and was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Rearden.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township, Monday, November 15, 2021 at 12:00 pm.  Reverend Monsignor Edward R. Domin, Celebrant.  Inurnment will follow at the Chapel of Saint George Cremation Garden at Gethsemane Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church Monday from 10:45 am to 11:45 am.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund 2427 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn, PA 19606 in memory of Mr. Anthony B.
