Barbara E. (Coller) Cipolla

September 9, 1933 ~ December 1, 2021 (age 88)


Barbara E. Cipolla, 88, of Shillington, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 8:30 am in her residence.  She was the wife of the late Joseph A. “Brother Joe” Cipolla who passed away October 18, 1994.  Born in West Reading, Mrs. Cipolla was the daughter of the late Paul and Erma (Mohn) Coller.  She was a 1951 graduate of Reading High School and was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church.  Mrs. Cipolla enjoyed puzzles, playing bingo, reading books and was an avid Penn State University football fan.  Along with the monthly sibling lunches and frequent week long trips with them. She is survived by her children Anthony J. “T.J.” Cipolla, husband of Donna L. Cipolla of St. Simons Island, Georgia; Peter P. Cipolla of Mohnton; Rocco E. Cipolla, husband of Vicki L. Cipolla of Sinking Spring; Bonita L. “Bonnie” Cipolla with whom she last resided and was preceded in death by her son Joby C. Cipolla in 1989.  Mrs. Cipolla is also survived by her 21 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and was preceded in death by her grandson Rocco S. Cipolla.  Also surviving are her sisters Jane Long of Mohnton; Patricia “Patsy” Shober of Denver, PA; Lois Miller of Wyomissing and was preceded in death by her brother Richard Coller and sister Vivian Casper. 

Visitation will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm with Deacon Christopher May officiating.  Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mifflin Community Library 6 Philadelphia Ave. Shillington, PA 19607 in memory of Mrs. Barbara E.
