Betty Szeredai

Betty  K. (Seicht) Szeredai, 95, formerly of Reading, Pa. passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at 8:25 pm at Mifflin Center.   She was the wife of the late George J. Szeredai.  Born in Buffalo, NY on October 22, 1926, Betty was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Seicht.  She was legal secretary at Central Pennsylvania Legal Service retiring after 28 years.  In retirement “Grandma Betty” worked as a Foster Grandparent (teacher’s aide) for 2nd graders at Thomas H. Ford Elementary School.  Betty loved her family, flowers, ice cream, swimming, the color of fall leaves, Johnny Mathis and Rod Stewart.   Betty is survived by her sons Daniel D. Foustner, husband of the late Robin L. Foustner of Reading; Richard L. Szeredai, husband of Roxann Szeredai of Shillington, Pa.; grandsons Nicholas A. Szeredai, husband of Emily Szeredai; Benjamin F. Szeredai, husband of Laura Szeredai and her great great granddaughters Ella and Everly.  She was preceded in death by her brother Andrew Schiller and sister Evelyn Winterkorn.
