Obituary

Carlos L. Laceda Jr., 56, of Sinking Spring, passed away Saturday September 5, 2020 at 3:20am in his residence.

He was the husband of Ma Regina O. (Nobleza) Laceda. Although he had no kids, he considered Calvin L. Panghulan and Jamielee L. (Panghulan) Lambert as one of his own. 

Born in Pinamalayan, Or. Mindoro, Philippines, Mr. Laceda was the son of the late Carlos L. Laceda Sr. and Ana L. (Lagustan) Laceda.

Carlos was employed as cook for various restaurants in Berks County last working in March of 2020. He was known as the life of the party.  He enjoyed fishing, live music, and spending time with his family.  

He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield, PA.

In addition to his wife Ma Regina he is survived by his siblings: Aida Geniza, wife of Manuel Geniza, of the Philippines; Jesus Laceda, husband of Edith Laceda, Penny Mojado, wife of Rudy Mojado; Corazon Laceda, wife of Cris Panghulan;  Lyn Lausch, wife of Bill Lausch;  Robert Laceda, husband of Claudee Laceda, and Lorna Adoyo, wife of Alan Adoyo, all of Reading, PA. Also surviving is his brother in law Jim Tyrrell, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Alice Tyrrell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St. Alban’s Drive, Sinking Spring on Thursday, September 10th 2020 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing for friends and relatives in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, on Wednesday, September 9th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. An additional viewing will be held on Thursday September 10 in Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church from 9:45 am until 10:45 am. Burial will be in the Philippines.
