DARCYE S MORAWSKI, 69, of Cumru Township, passed away from natural causes on Friday, March 19, 2021.  Born in Reading, Darcye was the daughter of the late George E and Virginia B (Boland) Stauffer.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank J. Morawski III.

Mrs. Morawski is survived by her two sisters, Deatra “Dee” Quell, widow of Ronald Quell, of Cochranville, and Gabrielle “Wink” Dietrich, wife of Terrence, of Cumru Township.  She is also survived by various nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and one great grandniece.

I work at Berks County Veterans Affairs. I remember her saying when it was her time to go, she wanted to slide in feet first with skid marks and say I had a heck of a ride.  Darcye and George were a dynamic duo in our office and always enjoyed the afternoon with them.  My sincere sympathies to her family.

We met at a St. Benedict’s Church retreat, shared laughs there, and sang in the church choir together. Darcye’s presence, humor and voice will be missed.
