Doris Layton

Doris P. Layton, 85, of Laureldale, formerly of Reading, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 at 7:15 am at Reading Hospital.  She was the wife of William E. Layton.  Born in Reading, Mrs. Layton was the daughter of the late Herman and Anna C. (Leonard) Bonsall.  She was employed by RM Palmer as a packer.  In addition to her husband Mrs. Layton is survived by her daughters Donna J. Fick of Denver, PA; Debra A. Layton of Laureldale; Connie M. Mintzer of Mohnton and was preceded in death by her son William E. Layton, Jr.  She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her sisters Patricia Bowers of Stony Creek Mills and Ellamae Petersheim of Cumru Township.  Mrs. Layton was preceded in death by 14 siblings.

Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights, Monday, December 5, 2022 at 10:00 am.  Amy S. Landis, Celebrant will officiate.  Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Monday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
