Elsie Schoenert

Elsie L. Schoenert (Neff), of Leesport, formerly of Cumru Township, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Berks Heim Nursing Home. She was the loving wife to Robert N. Schoenert for 60 years, before his passing on February 14, 2013. Born in Reading, Elsie was the daughter of the late, William Neff and Jennie (Snyder). Elsie was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1953.

Elsie is survived by her sister, Joan Silagy, of Leesport, and her nieces, Caryn Hivner, of Bern Township and Judy Bentz, of Elizabethtown.

Funeral Service for Elsie will be held privately at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Elsie’s Memory to the Vision Resource Center of Berks County, 2020 Hampden Blvd, Reading PA 19604. Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
