Gloria Zielinski

Gloria M. Zielinski, 92, of Mount Penn, passed away Friday January 15, 2021 at 7:00 am in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Casimir S. “Casey” Zielinski who passed away January 9, 2010.  Born in Reading, Mrs. Zielinski was the daughter of the late George and Ann Wilma (Shurilla) Stephens.  She was a 1946 graduate of Central Catholic High School and was a devout member of Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Mount Penn where she was a founding member of the guitar group and member of prayer group.  Mrs. Zielinski sang in the Reading Choral Society; was a member of Rose Society of Berks County; enjoyed gardening and reading and had a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother.  She was a loving mother to Ann Marie Pettis, wife of David C. Pettis of Sinking Spring; Kathleen A. Kelso, wife of Wesley R. Kelso of Lancaster; Michael C. Zielinski, husband of Janice L. Zielinski of Colony Park; Thomas C. Zielinski, husband of Linda Zielinski of Newport, Rhode Island; Matthew C. Zielinski, husband of Kristie L. Zielinski of Colony Park; Daniel C. Zielinski of Mount Penn; David C. Zielinski, husband of Jennifer Zielinski of Cumru Township and her 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11:00 am.  Reverend Monsignor Edward R. Domin, Celebrant. Interment will be held privately by the family at Gethsemane Cemetery.  A viewing will be held at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Wednesday 10:00 am to 10:45 am.  The family request that social distancing and wearing of facial coverings be respected.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 2427 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn, PA 19606 in memory of Mrs. Gloria M.
