Irwin Goldstein

Irwin J. “Irv” “Uncle Bubbles” Goldstein, 84, of Maidencreek Township formerly of Wyomissing, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Sunday January 3, 2021 at 1:30 pm in the Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of the late DeAnna (Darling) Goldstein who passed away March 3, 1997.  Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Goldstein was the son of the late Benjamin and Nettie (Kestecher) Goldstein.  He served in the United States Army and was a Design engineer for NGK Metals until his retirement.  He was an avid golfer, truly enjoyed playing poker at casinos and with Riverchasers, was very creative and artistic, enjoyed walking at the Berkshire Mall and was a loving and giving man who loved to shop, shop and shop.  He had an amazing sense of humor and made friends with all who met him. Everywhere he went he was known and adored. He was a loving father to Amy G. Davidson,wife of Daniel Davidson of Blandon whom he was so proud of and their dog Porsche that he adored.  He was preceded in death by his sister Francis Steinhaus and his twin sister Sandra Rudy, both of Connecticut. He leaves behind many of nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved very much.

The family would like to thank the amazing caregivers from Keystone Villa, Tower Health and the Highlands.

Private Graveside service will be held at Shomrei Habrith Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  Rabbi Brian I. Michelson will officiate.  Bean Funeral Home, 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Diabetes or Cancer Society.
