James Engle

James M. Engle April 26, 2021 of Reading, PA. James passed peacefully in his own home at age 70. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Elizabeth (Meinig) Engle, his son Richard Engle, Sister Sandy Borelli, and Brother Randy Engle. Born in Reading on May 3, l950, he was the son of the late Earl Lee Engle and Jane Elizabeth (Fisher) Engle.

After graduating from Conrad Weiser Area High School, James went to work for the Reading Eagle Corporation as a pressman while also joining the Marine Corps. Upon his return from the Corps, he continued working for the Reading Eagle, retiring in 2013 as production manager after 44 years. James enjoyed golfing, fishing, outdoor activities. James was the Vice President/President of the Lebanon Valley Gun Club from 2011 to 2020.

James’s family will conduct a graveside service at Berks Memorial gardens on Monday May 3, 2021 at 1:00pm.
