James Pinnix

James A. Pinnix, 80, of Alsace Township, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 7:55 am in Manor Care Health Services, Laureldale.  He was the husband of Joyce M. (Blankenbiller) Pinnix.  Born in Elkin, North Carolina, Mr. Pinnix was the son of the late Fred and Viola Pinnix and step-mother Hazel Pinnix.  He was employed by Lucent Technology as a senior operator.  In addition to his wife, Mr. Pinnix is survived by his son Timothy Lee Pinnix of Fleetwood; step-son Jeffrey W. Miller, husband of Phyllis Miller of Temple; step-daughter Justine G. Calcagno, wife of Philip Calcagno of Temple and his grandchildren Emily and Samantha Pinnix and Casey and Jenna Miller.  Also surviving are his siblings Leroy Pinnix of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Allen Pinnix of Galax, Virginia and Mabel Smith of Baltimore, Maryland.

Graveside service will be held at Spies-Zion Cemetery, 318 Spies Church Road, Alsace Township, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 10:00 am.  Pastor Devin Blankenbiller will officiate.  Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1605 Rockland Street Hampden Heights is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
