James Miller

James W. Miller, 83, of Douglassville passed away on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at Reading Hospital. He was the son of the late William and Rose (Gieringer) Miller. He is survived by his wife Betty May Miller.

Mr. Miller is also survived by his children; Kimberly A. Alaimo of Harrisburg and William M. Miller of Flying Hills. James was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Kiser. He retired from the United States Navy after serving 23 years as a commissary man and steward.  James could find humor in just about any situation and liked to tell stories about his days in the Navy, and his days working for restaurants and car dealers.  He enjoyed getting together with family and friends, and playing cards.  He was interested in World War II history and old cars.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date. Bean Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3825 Penn Avenue Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements.
