June Hill

June S. Hill, 96, of Wyomissing, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 6:50 am in her residence.  She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Wheeland, MD who passed away December 8, 1960 and by her second husband Edward J. Hill who passed away March 1, 1992.  Born in Birdsboro, Mrs. Hill was the daughter of the late Clifton W. and Marie Elizabeth (Clark) Sands.  She was a 1943 graduate of Birdsboro High School and was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Hill was a claims representative for the Social Security Administration for over 20 years retiring in April 1975.  She was a member of the National Association of Federal Retired Employees and of the Historic Preservation Trust of Berks County.  She was a world traveler, an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles.  Mrs. Hill is survived by her friends Michelle L. Vigneault of Fleetwood, Jodel Funk of Wyomissing, Joyce Flannery of Shillington, and John & Bobbi Manchak, Ohio.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Birdsboro Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to West Lawn United Methodist Church 15 Woodside Ave. West Lawn, PA 19609 in memory of Mrs. June S.
