Obituary

Leo Robert Koehler, 90, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 1:13 am at Country Meadows of Wyomissing.  His loving companion of 45 years preceded Anna Irene Chase, who passed away on February 5, 2017.  Born in Sinking Spring, Mr. Koehler was the son of the late William and Helen (Cammauf) Koehler.  He was a graduate of Sinking Spring High School and served in the United States Army.  Textile Machine Works employed Mr. Koehler as a machinist until his retirement.  In addition, he worked for 20 years at both the Hollywood Greyhound Track (Hollywood, FL) and the Manor Golf Club (Fritztown, PA), where he filled many roles after his retirement. He was an amateur golfer who won several tournaments and collected five holes in one. He loved to help others with their golf swing and could be found on the driving range often. Mr. Koehler is survived by his sons Eric Matthew Koehler of Mountville and David Alan Koehler of Bernville.  He is also survived by his siblings Jane Gerhart of Pennside, Karl Koehler of Topton, Barry Koehler of Drexelwood, and was preceded in death by Fern O’Leary and William “Billy” “Mutz” Koehler.

Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 11:00 am.  Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant, will officiate.  Interment will follow at Laureldale Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Thursday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Tee of Lehigh Valley and Berks (www.firstteelehighvalley.org/donate/) or to Wilson School District, Attn: Athletics Department, in memory of Mr. Leo Robert Koehler.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
