Margaret Ann Hartman, 78, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 9:44 am in Reading Hospital.  Peggy, as she was known, enjoyed singing.  She was a member of Saint Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church for many years serving as a cantor and member of the choir.  Peggy was a former active member of the Legion of Mary doing works of charity.  She also volunteered to work in the Kennedy House soup kitchen and always volunteered for special events at the church.  For many years she looked forward to and faithfully attended the annual Defending the Faith Conference at Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH.  Peggy worked at Bollman Hat Company and Godiva Chocolates.  There are no immediate survivors.   

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Margaret’s RCC, 925 Centre Ave. Reading, Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 10:30 am.  Reverend Angel L. Garcia-Almodovar, Celebrant.     Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.  A viewing will be held at the Church from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.    Bean Funeral Home, 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com.

To Peggy, one of the "Three Musketeers  - you, me and Josie!  We had so much fun at Josie's Rosaries, Church hopping on Holy Thursday, and participating in many activities at Church!  We all had fun at my family gatherings.  Our family will miss you, especially Grant.  He loved you, dear lady, and we all know you loved him!  You will most certainly be missed!!!  Love, Brenda, Grant and Family!!!
