Mary Yoder

Mary L. Yoder, 89, of Phoebe Berks Village Chateau and formerly of Wyomissing, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 7:30 pm.  She was the wife of the late Charles W. Yoder who passed away December 8, 1999.  Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Harold A. and Dorothy J. (Smith) Sell.  Mrs. Yoder was a 1949 graduate of Reading High School and was a member of St. Marks UCC, Reading and the former St. Thomas UCC, Reading.  She was a member of Reading Chapter #251 Order of Eastern Star and former advisor for Reading Assembly #33 Order of Rainbow for Girls.  Mrs. Yoder was a member of Altar Guild and Friendly Club at St. Thomas UCC and had served as Treasurer of Choir Mother’s Guild for 25 years and served as leader of Girl Scout Troop #2 at St. Stephen’s UCC.  Mrs. Yoder is survived by her daughter Karen L. (Yoder) Hill, wife of Jeffrey P. Hill of Wyomissing and her son Kevin C. Yoder, husband of Marianne D. (Schaeffer) Yoder of Wyomissing.  She is survived by her 3 grandchildren Jonathan P. Hill and Kathryn L. Hill both of Wyomissing and Rebecca E. (Hill) Ceccola, wife of Jacob Ceccola of Exeter along with many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother Harold E. Sell.

Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 11:00 am.  Reverend Charles S. Nease will officiate.  Entombment will follow at Laureldale Cemetery Mausoleum.  The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Wednesday 9:00 am to 10:45 am with Order of Eastern Star service to be conducted at 10:45 am by Reading Chapter #251.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to PA Masonic Youth Foundation 1244 Bainbridge Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 in memory of Mrs. Mary L.
