Mary Ann Doxie

February 20, 1934 — December 30, 2021

West Lawn, PA

Mary Ann Doxie, 87, was called home to the Lord on 12/30/21. She is survived by her four children: Sandy Bressi, Brenda Keller, wife of Tom Keller, Floyd Doxie III, husband of Mhae Doxie and David Doxie, husband of Kim Doxie. She is also lovingly survived by four grandchildren: Anthony Bressi, Maranda Bressi, Sarah Doxie, Matthew Doxie, and a great granddaughter Elliana Bressi.

Mary Ann was predeceased by her devoted and faithful husband of 43 years, Floyd T. Doxie Junior. Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Heder. She was a 1950 graduate of Pius XI High School in Milwaukee and attended Terry Art Institute in Miami, FL where she met her husband Floyd before moving to Fort Benning, GA, where Floyd was stationed in the Army.

Mary Ann worked in jewelry sales for many years before retiring, however her favorite job was that of wife, mother and supportive grandmother, otherwise affectionately known a G-Mom. G-Mom had many interest and talents throughout her years. She loved spending her summer weekends with family and good friends in MD at the family’s vacation home on the Chesapeake Bay. She and Floyd were active Charter Members of the St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. Mary Ann’s love of flowers and gardening lead her to becoming a member of the Wyomissing Area Garden Club since 1970 and an accredited Master Judge of flower shows. She was also a member of the National Garden Club and Past President of the North East Area Judges Council. She also shared a passionate love for sewing and quilting and was an active member of the Quiltessence Quilters Guild of Berks County.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Ann’s honor may be made to the St. Albans Episcopal Church: 2848 St. Albans Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. A Celebration of Mary Ann’s Life will be announced at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
