Obituary

N. Mardell Ludwig, 84, of Birdsboro, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Franklin R. Ludwig, who passed away on October 5, 2021. Together they shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Birdsboro, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Ruth (Johnson) Zuber. During her life, she was employed in banking and accounting, for APEX Community Federal Credit Union, retiring in 2010.   She also was employed at Gilbert Commonwealth and Berks County Bank.

Mardell was known as a food connoisseur and loved to eat. She also enjoyed going to Rehoboth Beach with family, watching sports, and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia 76ers fan.

She is survived by her daughters, Michele Nagle, wife of Robert, of Birdsboro; Lynn Peshniak, wife of John, of Wernersville; grandsons, Collin Williams; Justin Williams; brother, Robert Zuber, of Birdsboro; niece, Jill Bossler; and nephew Chris Zuber.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA 19607 on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 2:00pm. Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate.
