Paul Roth Jr.

Paul E. Roth Jr., 83, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary L. (Eichner) Roth, whom passed away on March 15, 1993.

Born, in Reading, on April 16, 1939, he was the son of the late Paul E. Roth Sr. and Dorothy (Norton) Roth. Paul was a graduate of Wilson High School Class of 1957. He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1962-1968. During his life, he worked as an Inspector for CarTech Corporation in Reading for 34 years, retiring in 1999. Paul was always very involved in the community, especially in Firefighting. He was a volunteer firefighter since 1960, Borough Fire Marshall since 1980 and served as Fire Chief for many years.

Paul was a member of many organizations like the National Association of Fire Investigation, PA Association of Fire Investigation, International Association of Arson Investigation, National Volunteer Fireman Council, Berks County Fireman Association and served on the Borough Council. He was also a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sinking Spring.

Paul is survived by his sons, Michael P. Roth, of Sinking Spring; Steven K. Roth, husband of Sandra “Sandy” Roth, of Adamstown; and grandson, Alec W. Roth, of Adamstown.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 11:00am. Pastor Richard Moore will officiate. Interment will follow at Sinking Spring Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 9:00am-11:00am.
