Roy Smith

Roy S. Smith, 95, of Shillington, passed away on  Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Phoebe Berks.  He was the beloved husband of the late Vilma D. (Schelly) Smith, who passed away on January 29, 2012.

Born in Grantville,Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Roy B. Smith and Mary Jane (Neidig). Roy was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1944. He proudly served in the United States Amy. Throughout his service he was a Corporal where he was stationed in Japan for 14 months.

During his life, he was a founding partner of E.R. Stuebner Inc. Roy enjoyed golfing, playing cards and had a great interest in the stock market. He was also a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church.

Roy is survived by his children, Cheryl Clark, wife of George, of Shillington; Marcia Winchester, wife of Jerry, of Spring Township; Daniel Smith, of Wyomissing: 5 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson Adam Winchester and brother Theodore Smith.
