William Waren

William R. Waren, 78, of Denver, Lancaster County, formerly of Montrose Manor passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 1:07 am in his residence.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Roseann B. (King) Waren.  Born in Kenhorst, Mr. Waren was the son of the late David W. and Lottie M. (Pawlewicz) Waren.  He was a 1962 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and served in the United States Navy on the USS Enterprise during the Cuban Missile Crisis.  Mr. Waren was employed as a pipefitter by Steamfitters Local Union 420.  He enjoyed spending time boating, water skiing, fishing and hunting at Raystown Lake, as well as golfing at local courses and Myrtle Beach. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #6150 in Sinking Spring.  In addition to his wife, Mr. Waren is survived by his daughter Shelley J. Reber, wife of Donald C. Reber of Reading and his grandchildren Morgan N. Reber, fiancée of Jared A. Werner, and Kevin J. Reber.  He was preceded in death by his brother Barry E. Waren.

Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:00 am.  Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate.  Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United States Navy Honor Guard will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
